Labor day celebrated with call to collaboration to better perform

On 10th May 2019, staff from the National Women's Council have celebrated the labor day. During this celebration staff were called o  team work spirit to achieve more towards the national development.

The Vice President of the National Women's Council Francine Mukakalisa said that for the institution to deliver, there is a need for collaboration and team work.  She commended the improvement that is evident in the organisation's performance compared to previous years and requested this to be sustained and even improved.

The Executive Secretary of National WOmen's Council Jackline Kamanzi testified this improvement arguing that it is a result from different trainings that staff have undergone  in different domains such as Transformational Leadership.

" I am no longer running after a staff to report on the activity that is under his/her responsibilities...we have had a time where reporting on time was a big issue but now things have positively changed. This is the outcome from the previous trainings that we had with the support from different partners. I am sure that we will keep this momentum", she said.

Staff themselves committed to sustain this improvement and even do better to perform their duties towards women's empowerment.

During the celebration, staff have elected the best of employee. Habanabakize Aime Thomas who is in charge of Human ressources and Logistics Officer was elected as The best Employee of the Year.
