National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC) was officially instituted to strengthen coordination mechanisms to support National Gender Machinery institutions to promote gender equality, family promotion, women empowerment and child rights promotion and protection, as well as to utilize partner efforts to improve interventions, synergize and avoid duplication. Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (GEWE) is one of four National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC) sub-clusters. Gender Equality and Women Empowerment sub-cluster is composed by government institutions, multilateral and bilateral agencies, Civil Society Organizations, Faith Based Organizations, Private Sector, Media, International and National NGOs that work in the area of Gender and Women Empowerment. It is in this context that National Women’s Council (NWC) in collaboration with stakeholders, members of Gender Equality and Women Empowerment is organizing its meeting aiming at sharing information on the planned activities related to gender equality and women’s empowerment to avoid duplication of efforts among partners but also see how to establish complementarity between our organizations.
